The german foundation for peace research has turned 15 years old and used this anniversary as an opportunity to present itself with a new look in Osnabrück. The same day the new constitution of the foundation entered into force and activated changes in the organizational structure as well as the purpose of the foundation. For this reason the foundation board and the newly founded executive board came together at the residence of the foundation in the stone-structure building Ledenhof for their constituting meeting.
The event was opened with a reception by the Lord Mayor during which Edelgard Bulmahn, the vice president of the German Parliament, and the members of the statutory bodies signed the city’s “Golden Book”. The festivities began in the Hall of Peace in the historic town hall, the same place where the foundation board started their work in late April 2001.
